About Woodbrick

The Woodbrick Timber Construction System is manufactured at our production facility on Teesside.

The Woodbrick concept originated from a desire to introduce into the market place, a fence panel system which offered an refreshing alternative product. The challenge was to produce a brick effect panel, which integrated a high quality finish and robust construction. Additionally it was important to produce the panel in a size range which could be readily installed to existing timber or proprietary concrete posts …

… the Woodbrick concept had arrived!

Having met this first objective, it was important to continue developing the panel design to further improve upon existing fencing panels.

Many of the traditional fence panels available in the market place lack strength, offer little to no security protection, and suffer badly from high winds and adverse weather conditions. With this back ground in mind the design was altered to enhance the appearance, and to improve the strength and rigidity of the panel construction. Firstly a thicker profile was introduced which enabled the brick effect to be machined into both the front and back of the board. Secondly the top latts and side closure posts were stiffened and machine profiled, to fit snug onto the interlocked boards, thus increasing the overall strength of the assembled panel.

In addition to the aesthetic appeal of Woodbrick the concept offered the opportunity to seamlessly merge timber fencing with traditional masonry brick structures. It was the strength of this visual impact which led our design team to focus on other applications and benefits of Woodbrick. It soon became apparent that compared to traditional masonry brickwork, the Woodbrick timber construction system offered a viable alternative at a fraction of the time and cost to install.

The introduction of the Woodbrick wall board is designed as a heavy duty alternative for walled screening applications, and acoustic barrier solutions.

...ongoing R&D supported our belief that the Woodbrick concept could be applied to a diverse range of applications. This belief led us to securing a Registered Product status for our Woodbrick design.

Our initial desire to offer an alternative fence panel has quickly evolved into a timber construction system which can be simply joined together as an interlocking assembly, which is adaptable, and which can be applied in a 3d build form. Our design and production team have been busy developing additional fixtures and fittings which can adapt and extend the applications of Woodbrick.

The increased demand for eco friendly timber build forms, has resulted in us introducing a cladding board, incorporating our basic interlocking system. This light weight alternative is particularly suitable for more complex shapes and integration into building structures and facades.

As for the future... the Woodbrick Timber Construction System is ultimately as flexible as your imagination!
